The Constitution’s equality clause (s.20), the Employment Act, the Gender Equality Act 2013 and the Disability Act 2012 bar discrimination on grounds such as sex, religion and disability, but none covers sexual orientation or gender identity.
The Penal Code’s Chapter XIV ’Offences Relating to Religion’ (ss.127-130) criminalises insulting religion or wounding religious feelings, but the provisions are not actively enforced.
